![]() ![]() Milton Keynes, 27th July 2009– 505 Games in collaboration with 1C Company have today confirmed the date of the single player Xbox 360 demo for upcoming flight combat title IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds Of Prey. IL-2 STURMOVIK: BIRDS OF PREY XBOX 360 SINGLE PLAYER DEMO DETAILED Still, it sounds as if they're building it "right", with lots of realism options, so much like IL-2 itself, it's probable that it can be tweaked enough to satisfy just about anyone. ![]() Ultimately, I don't think it can be very realistic simply because fine rudder use was essential to flying many of these aircraft (the P-39 and F-4U come to mind as examples of truly unforgiving downright vindictive aircraft in that respect), and a gamepad that's mixing rudder and throttle control on one thumbstick simply won't allow for that degree of control. I'm not setting my expectations very high on this, but as long as they can manage something like Ace Combat 6 with IL-2 aircraft, I'll be happy.Īnything better would be going well beyond my expectations. I'm definitely grabbing the demo once its out, and I'll likely end up owning the game anyway, unless the demo is horrendous. Judging by the linked gameplay videos, either the reviewer absolutely sucked (which is likely) or the controls are way too twitchy and sensitive for a gamepad (also very likely).
